The special travel grants from the Nilsson-Ehle Donations to support research in theoretical and applied Genetics are to be awarded only to researchers who have completed their PhD (or the equivalent). For those who have not yet completed their PhD, applications for travel grants can be made from the Nilsson-Ehle Donations. For travel to a scientific conference, grants will only be awarded for active participation (in the form of an oral or poster presentation). To be eligible, an abstract of the presentation must be accepted, and this abstract must be included with the application. Information on other financial support received must also be detailed. Application for financial support for travel or for other purposes must include a motivation, a description of the aim of the trip and an estimate of its cost. The application must include a research programme, a brief curriculum vitae.
Applications must be registerd no later than 15th of March and 26th of September. A Final Report must be sent separately at a later date, and should not be submitted with the application. No stipends will be awarded to applicants who have not handed in the Final Report on work financed by grants previously received from the Society. NOTE! The "Two-year rule" applies! Grants received last year and not completed, do not need to be reported if you intend to apply this year.
